The quick-hitting, hidden-camera comedy "Trigger Happy TV" is getting a new lease on life, as well as a new address.

Comedy Central, which has enjoyed success airing episodes of the British series in recent months, has ordered six additional shows that will be produced in the United States. The new episodes are scheduled to begin in April.

"Because it was not a typical hidden-camera show [and] because it has such a great and unique tone and sensibility, it just made sense to do more episodes," Jim Sharp, vice president for development at Comedy Central, tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Instead of the elaborate pranks of "Candid Camera" or "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," "Trigger Happy TV" does its hidden-camera stunts on the fly. Host Dom Joly pulls stunts, often involving weird props or animal costumes, designed more for their appeal on camera than to confuse some poor sap.

Joly performed pretty much all the sketches in the original 14 episodes of the show. He won't be available for all the stateside episodes, however, so Comedy Central has hired Jessica Makinson and Travis Draft as co-hosts.
